Comments
We took a really conservative approach given the extreme cold today. We stayed close to the truck and got a look at how recent winds have wrecked havoc in the White Pass. There was a widespread natural avalanche cycle earlier this week when the north wind blew after the storm. From the road we saw evidence of many avalanches especially on south aspects in the alpine and lower down into tree line. It was clear and frigid (-30C). Wind is still blowing, drifting along the road and there was spindrift from extreme northeast winds at ridgetop.
