One, Two, Three Days a Trough

  • Low pressure systems over coastal B.C. will generate widespread snow and flurries with afternoon risk of thunderstorms over Vancouver Island
  • Snow will spread into the southern interior ranges and NW Smithers this afternoon
  • General troughiness continues on Sunday with widespread flurries across B.C. with risk of thunderstorms across SW and Vancouver Island ranges. Convective flurries with risk of graupel is also possible across the North & South Columbia ranges
  • A ridge begins to build offshore on Monday with one last day of widespread flurries with risk of thunderstorms over southern B.C.
  • As the ridge establishes itself on Tuesday, it will send Pacific weather systems north into the South Klondike area with light snow
