Scattered Showers

In the wake of the frontal system moving into Alberta, unsettled conditions with scattered showers are expected today over most regions of BC. On Tuesday, the low in the Gulf of Alaska continues to send upper disturbances across northern BC bringing showers to the regions. Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure maintains mainly sunny conditions over the south coast. Temperatures will be slightly warmer than normal over southern sections and near seasonal over central and northern regions.

The 500mb upper level animation above shows a zonal flow over BC with a series of weak upper troughs moving eastward across northern and interior regions bringing unsettled conditions today and on Tuesday. On Wednesday through Thursday, an upper low slowly pushes across northern BC and produces widespread light to moderate precipitation.
