Low level convergence will result in stratiform cloud development near the South Coast ranges. Possibility of drizzle or freezing drizzle today.

Light snow across the Cariboo and Columbia ranges today.

Strong westerly ridgetop winds across the North Rockies with local blowing snow.

Extreme westerly ridgetop winds across the South Rockies and Lizard ranges.

Increasing cloud today ahead of an approaching frontal system.  Light ridgetop winds increase to moderate southwesterlies.

Forecast for Tonight - 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. PST:

Mostly cloudy conditions over the NW ranges. Very isolated chance of flurries along north coastal areas.

Snow begins over NW Coastal ranges overnight.

Clear skies for inland sections of the south coastal ranges. Closer to the Strait of Georgia and Vancouver Island ranges, cloud cover will prevail for most of the night.

A few flurries ending over the Cariboo and Columbia ranges with linger clouds through the night. Mostly clear elsewhere.

Moderate westerly to northwest ridgetop winds becoming light over North Rockies

Extreme westerly becoming strong northwesterly near midnight then moderate northwesterly ridgetop winds across the Lizard and South Rockies ranges tonight.

Snow begins overnight with about 2 cm accumulation. Strong southerly ridgetop winds.  

Forecast for Wednesday - 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST:

Snow for the NW ranges with freezing levels rising to 800 metres for the immediate coast near Kasiks. Five to ten centimetres of snow except up to 30 mm of precipitation for Kasiks. Strong southerly ridgetop winds associated with this front.

Snow moves into the North Rockies Wednesday afternoon with up to 15 cm. Strong southwest ridgetop winds.

Snow with near 10 cm accumulation tapers to flurries Wednesday night. Strong south to southwest ridgetop winds.

The front slides across the province on Wednesday night and ends up near the US border by Thursday.

There's a risk of freezing rain over the Vancouver Island and SW ranges on Wednesday night with freezing levels falling to near 500 metres or valley bottom by Thursday

A ridge rebuilds on Friday across the province with dry conditions

Flurries ease through the day Thursday as an upper ridge moves over the area. Moderate southwest ridgetop winds veer to light to moderate westerlies late Thursday.

The upper ridge persists on Friday giving dry conditions with sunny breaks. Light westerly ridgetop winds.

A frontal system moving onto the Alaskan Panhandle tonight will bring snow to the NW ranges and Yukon - South Klondike

Other ranges under the ridge of high pressure will see clear skies and patchy valley cloud

The cold front portion of the frontal system will slowly move across the province Wednesday and Thursday bringing snow to the remaining ranges throughout the week
