Ridge ahead of an approaching front
A nice day for most of BC except rain over Fort Nelson with a few more milimetres of rainfall. A solid rainy day forecast for BC coasts on Tuesday while interior will enjoy one more day of nice weather. Showery weather will prevail for the rest of the week. Again, it is June, we do expect to see clouds and blue skies in between showers and/or thunderstorms.
A front extending from northern Saskatchewan to northeastern BC will continue to spread rain to Fort Nelson region today. A ridge of high pressure offshore will move onto BC tonight and bring dry weather throughout the province. A leading front will move onto the coastal regions on Tuesday giving steady rain while interior will have one more nice day under the ridge. An upper trough of low pressure will then anchor off the BC coast for the rest of the week producing showery weather.
