The Balfour Wall is an excellent, short venue for ice climbing that has no avalanche danger. It is located north of Bison Creek, with parking at a pullout on the east side of the Highway 93N, 24.5 km north of Bow Summit. Walk 600 meters up through the trees to reach a 20 m cliff with several ice steps that range from grade 2 to 4.
