- Party tobogganing on avalanche slopes on north slopes of Mt Fairview above Lake Louise during time of high avalanche hazard. Likely a natural avalanche came down while party was on or under the slope. A search by a Parks Canada Search and Rescue team was initiated when the party was reported missing to the RCMP. Party was not wearing avalanche gear.
