Very early season run up to the summit of the Divide chair. You can skin from the parking lot but it’s a bit of an adventure. Snow improves considerably around TeePee town chair which is where we got our best turns of the day. About 45cm with a slightly supportive base so we weren’t punching through. Alpine was different - near the top of the Dive, anything from 15-30cm but less consolidated with lots of shark fins lurking beneath the white blanket of snow. We linked only a few turns in the alpine and ski cut - side stepped. In the trees BTL though it was quite good for very early season. No obs to report - quite a few tracks in the resort. Biggest hazard was obviously early season conditions. No wind effect in the alpine (which actually could’ve helped). Coverage was really good d’or this time of year ...ski pen ranges from 10-15cm on average.
