Commentaires
After skiing the centre chute in McDermott yesterday (bonus couloir?) the first skier down triggered a stiff wind slab in an isolated pocket on the skirt. The slab broke behind the skier but he was able to get off before it picked up too much speed.
Slide ran surprisingly far (~150m?) and fast on the smooth bed surface.
Crown height was between 10-30cm and there were some rocks sticking out of the bed surface. There were some hard “table sized” pieces in the debris pile.
Definitely surprised us.
