A very close class.
Today a group of three triggered a large 2-2.5, this may have also triggered a large, sympathetic avalanch above the original trigger point ( also a large sz 2-2.5)
. As the final member of the group made their way out of the trees to assist the second the member of group who had fallen they trigged a large sz 2 from above while crossing over the toe of the path. This member of the group them yell to alert the others. The first two members of the group managed to make it into the trees make it out out of harms way. The final member of the group was blown off of their feet by the air blast while trying to outrun the debris.
All members of the party were luckily unscathed.
Third member of the group performed a very quick search as there was other party's in the area but found no signals. Back at the parking lot all groups were accounted for.
A good reminder to stay on your feet and to ski terrain that accommodates all ability l levels of the group!
Heads up hockey out there. Nothing beats getting back to the car at the end of the day
