Commentaires
Skied Pedley Pass today. It appeared that recent winds were extreme from the northwest as windward slopes were absolutely blasted. Fortunately, skiing in sheltered trees was excellent with ~15cm of new snow on the drought layer. I dug a full profile (see photo), mostly for practice but also to investigate a less familiar snowpack. This showed nothing alarming, however there was a large surface hoar layer beneath the storm snow which could be a problem with additional load. We also observed surface hoar growth all aspects and elevations to size 10. There were numerous naturals to at least size 2 from SE aspects in the alpine which appeared to be from the recent storm/wind (see photo).
