Commentaires
At Mear lake today we found generally safe and good conditions below treeline but when we transitioned into exposed treeline terrain things changed. We found the sugary facets from the cold snap buried 40cm deep under wind slab. Performed an extended column test and it propagated across the whole column from a moderate tap. This was enough to make us change our plans and gingerly ski back down our up track avoiding convexities and steep spots to enjoy the great snow lower down. DIdn't see any new slab avalanches. There were several dry loose size 1s in the alpine though, not running very far.
