Skied N and NE slopes. 30-35cms of low density snow overlaying a fist density slab. 0.5 to 1cm surface hoar forming.
Not reactive to ski cuts, pillow drops or other skier initiated tests. Started out sunny but high clouds throughout day with flurries towards eod. Temps -9 at start of day @1300m; -5 @1900m mid-day; -3 @ 1300m towards later afternoon.
Did not go higher to investigate effects of wind event but trees at ridgeline appear to have been stripped of snow.
