La journée était:

Tried to ski up to Cayoosh but were unable to due to lack of snow. Able to skin pretty much starting from the highway (1150m) but logging road has marginal coverage with only an inch or 2 of dry powder covering it. All creeks are exposed requiring to come off the skis at every one but 2 or 3 of the dozen creeks.

Stopped at the end of the logging road 100m shy of the cabin (1400m). Lots of dead fall and no snow coverage to ski the final approach to the cabin so we turned around.

Able to ski about halfway down and boot packed the rest as there were too many rocks under the thin powder.

A good day to test our equipment and get some ski fitness but no real skiing can be done in this area yet.
