Commentaires
Spent March 6-8 at Red Mountain Cabin. No signs of instability, whumping, cracking, or recent avalanches. We dug a pit on a west facing slope in the alpine and it yielded no results. The snowpack was very consolidated. Aside from the windswept alpine ridges there was a nice layer of 10-15cm of new snow in the alpine. There was some sun affect on south facing slopes. Cold clear nights and fairly cool weather during the day. Barely any wind. Solid stability and good weather meant we skied the two bowls (red lines) to the east of the cabin and another big alpine line (1st pic) to the north east of the cabin!
