Commentaires
We were able to get the weather station fixed after it's been down for a week! Yay! You can once more access up to date current weather from Renshaw on the Avalanche Canada site. There was about 15cm of new snow up there, but it was deeper (around 25 cm) on north and east facing slopes where the wind had sifted more snow in. We were leery of very steep alpine slopes that had this additional loading on them but other than those specific areas the new snow seems to be bonding well and hazard was relatively low. The only avalanche we saw was one we suspect to be around two days old seen from the trail in on an east facing slope (see photo). The riding was decent with the new powder snow but the old snow surface underneath still felt quite firm and visibility was in and out all day. Below 1200m the snow was pretty moist and will likely form a crust if the temperatures drop well below freezing overnight.
