Commentaires

Min report.

Size 3 avy remote triggered by sledder (possibly) At Gorman Lake sled area in Lang on the Grizzly shoulder area. December 29th 2019. North and East aspects.

Sledder was on another slope to the right coming down the mountain after a bit of a dangle. We were idling watching him from below. (Not in the safest spot) when this first pocket broke off on the slope to the left. We moved out of the way but the avy did not go by us any ways. It was more to the left.

Where we were, We couldn’t see the lower bowl and we did not know it had slid. (Note, The two avys did not connect)

We went up into grizzly bowl to braap on the sleds and have a safer spot to park sleds.

A hour or so later we came down and had to cross the avy debris field. Which had set up alot. And was covering the normal sled rode in.

There was already ski tracks on the lower slope from the day before. and I also did some sledding on that slope earlier on that day.

Stay safe out there everyone.

Pic with the sled: Yellow arrow direction of the sledder who was riding at the time.

Red arrow direction of the lower slide just over the roller past the trees.

Other pic: Yellow. Where i was sledding earlier in the day.

Blue. Where the ski tracks were from yesterday.

Green. the normal sled rode in.

Red arrow. U can see the fracture line of the upper slide.

Sorry i dont have more information Hopefully this is helpful.
