Sigurd Peak Conditions

Thin, but continuous snow started at ~1,200m with better coverage beginning at 1,400m. The snow was generally heavy and condensed with only the upper 200m to the summit having 10cm of powder on top of the existing snow pack. No instabilities noticed on the ridge, but the south east face of Sigurd had glide cracks and there were a few areas with pinwheels where it was more sun exposed. In wind protected areas above 1550m the snow was at least 70-80cm deep but we did not probe all the way to the ground.
