Commentaires
Sorry for the late MIN. We skinned up to Taylor Lake and then up the shoulder of Panorama Ridge. We did not stray from the ridge nor did we top out. Near our high point (2410M) we sensed a change in the snow pack - more wind load and crust was felt. We stripped skins and reversed course back down our up-track. Crossing a short loaded and open slope on the ridge proper a shooting crack was noted. No movement as the slope angle was shallow, but it did crack. Mellow slopes from 2375 meters down, in the trees, ski very well.
The “luge track” back to the car was in fine shape. Did not encounter too many parties (all snowshoers)
