Commentaires
Some amazing riding up Lucille today with an estimated 40cm+ of accumulated storm snow over the past few days. The snow was waist deep in the the trees and about knee deep in the alpine and treeline where wind had been moving the snow around. We saw evidence of old crown lines from avalanches that were 24-48hrs old as well as some fresher cornice collapses and sluffing. It looks like this new snow will take a few days to bond to underlying layers - especially on north and east facing windloaded slopes, so we stuck to slopes less than 30 degrees steep and avoided overhead hazard from cornices.
