My girlfriend was flying around the Kakwa area doing caribou surveys when their group saw a cornice fall triggering a large avalanche on or near Mt May. Sorry for the lack of information but I'm only relaying what I was told second hand. Weather is warm so that is probably a reason for the cornice fall as the snowpack is shallow for this time of year.
