Commentaires
Our hackles were up given the recent warming, but few signs of instability were observed throughout the day. The debris from only one natural size 2 avalanche (~24hrs) was observed in the alpine, see photo, appeared to be a storm slab from the last heavy snowfall. We decided not to ski a supported but steep alpine line, instead sticking to low angle/consequence terrain. Many ski cuts and attempting to trigger small features yielded almost no results.
Only one one occassion in a short 10m pitch of 40° at treeline were we able to cut a small storm slab (5mx15cm).
We had a whumpf right at the end of the day on a alpine ridge feature, two skiers.
Tread carefully!
