Commentaires
Skied Cain backcountry for three days. Saturday’s quit pit in west bowl, just below the clubs, showed 25cm storm snow on a slight crust from last Tuesday’s snow. The major January crust was about 60cm down.
The newest storm snow/slab failed on CT12. We did some ski cutting and were unable to get it to fail/propagate on N.W. slopes. This layer did fail in a small pocket on a S.E. slope under skier weight. No movement on the January crust at all.
By Monday there had been a bit of wind, and another 15cm of cold new snow. A hasty pit at the top of sliders showed the same result as Saturday, but again nothing moving with a skier/ski cut (we didn’t ski sliders though).
Still hoping for a come back!!
