We skied a N-NE aspect in the Hazelton Range off the Date Creek FSR.
The temperature was -4. The weather was overcast and calm.
We observed NA debris from recent storm snow from the high alpine on a North aspect that likely broke just below ridge top over a shallow wind scoured steep rocky area. No crown observed. Cornices on N and NE aspects looked the same size or smaller than 2 weeks ago.
Widespread inversion crust above ~1350m. No whumphing or cracking observed. Pockets of hollow wind pressed snow present on all wind affected alpine terrain. Snow in the open below treeline was wind pressed. The trees have lost all their tree bombs so forest skiing was crunchy and hard. Skiing quality was okay.
