The first pitch of Guiness is formed and climbs well. Wet, but it takes ice screws and is not hard. So the whole climb is now in good shape.
15-20 cm of snow on and beside the route. A few small sluffs off the cliffs beside, but nothing to worry about. We chose to climb here today because the entire Guiness path is below treeline and does not have an alpine (wind effected) start zone. Snow depths at this elevation have been low so far.
