The new storm snow is sitting on a rain/sun crust roughly 30cm down. We ventured out to Fay-zurs and witnessed whoomphing, shooting cracks and a couple size 1 slides. These occurred on a low angle convex into a gully and a steep angle slope that leads into the gully upslope of the V. We decided to turn around and head to Prayer Flags and experienced the same thing. 30cm slabs were running fast and far as we ski cut Prayer Flags. We also unfortunately noticed that most of the groups (new backcountry users and experienced local backcountry skiers) we saw heading out of bounds were boot packing and had no avy/backcountry gear.
