Vantage Ridge

We skied Cheques in the Mail (I think) on Sunday. The top 250m was enjoyable skiing though the upper 25 ish was grabbing the tails. There was about 5cm of new snow on top of a more consolidated layer. There were signs of wind slabs forming at the ridge, but they were just a few cm in depth.

Snow quality further down deteriorated as we got into the trees and the gully to the flats was crusty and tough to maneuver. Survival skiing to the bottom.

Weather was light flurries most of the day but we got some sun and blue skies toward the end of the day before clouds rolled in again. Skin up felt like a slog.
