Lower Joffre

Mixed but good ski conditions on Anniversary glacier. Southerly wind transport created a medium density crust above 2000m. Dry pow in sheltered North terrain. We dug down to rock at skiers left of the glacier around 2100m and to our surprise found fist to 20cm, then consistent 4fingers to 125 with no perceivable layers, then a knife layer to 135, facets just under that, and finally 4fingers down to rock at 155cm. No column test performed. Evident rubble below some steep slopes but nothing recent. No other red flags.
