Commentaires
While skiing down Abbott east face, the first skier triggered an avalanche. This happened while attempting to traverse to the skier's left to continue the descent on the ridge in the direction of Mushroom people (avoiding the gully on the right side). The skier got caught and dragged for circa 25 m. Then stopped unharmed. We decided to continue the descent through the gully avoiding the slope above Mushroom people. The snow we skied in the gully after the avalanche was very hard and uneven. Before the incident, in the upper section of the face, there was a lot of sluffing. Also, there was a party of 3 the day before us (that we knew of) riding close to the trigger point without triggering (see photos).
