Commentaires
We rode south and southeast aspects off of the top of Fraser Ridge on Saturday. New snow and reported avalanche problems in the last two weeks had us use careful route finding to make our way to the top, avoiding overhead exposure and steep slopes while feeling things out. Once at the top, without any obvious signs of instability, 5-10 cm of new snow in the last 48 hours, and minimal wind effect except for a bit of dense snow at ridgetop, we rode the south drainage/couloir to Fraser Lake before ascending for two laps in the chutes and coming out the drainage along the prominent gully to the north. A few other crews out there also got good turns in the trees.
