Comments
We had another Kakwa powder day. The storm amount since Tuesday is 40cm and it's still snowing! We found some deeep powder riding in the meadows and trees, without entering any avalanche terrain. The wind started in the afternoon and we could see some drifting snow from alpine ridge crests. Those exposed ridge crests still looked rocky and scoured. We suspected large windslabs were lurking in the lees so we were careful to avoid run-out zones.
