Comments
There is still a deep winter snowpack at Treeline and up. We had easy, if firm travel, conditions that let us range far. In open areas there was just a few centimeters new over hard old snow. We did find some pockets of deeper powder in sheltered trees. The wind was light and not moving snow.
After testing some smaller features, we felt comfortable moving into steeper terrain, though we stayed mindful of what was overhead.
