Took to wolfs den since shames was in training and pre-opening set up day. Drove to spur rd. 400m. Walked to about 600 m's. Skins down on crusty snow with water bars mostly frozen. Woods was rock solid so boot packed that. Lowest meadow was very firm but skinnable thank God cause it was post holey. By 800 ish m top gets softish for good skinning and alders are all smashed down by previous heavy wet snow, yayyy. Very light wind at best, bright skies and great views. Snow firms a bit after about 1200 m's but still edgible up and down. No instibilities felt. Saw 2 or 3 sz 1 old nat. slabs way across in the very steep S faces of Glacier peak. Very nice riding back down to the crust from peak height 1550 m's 👍
