Comments
Today we rode at Harold Price. This area has seen about 50cm of snow from the previous storm. In sheltered areas, the riding quality was good, but snow coverage remains low at lower elevations, with plenty of bushes and creeks.
We dug a snow profile at 1550m and found the Late Nov SH layer down 55cm here. We were able to get moderate results in a compression test. The surface hoar was 5-7mm.
Winds have been calm through this storm, and there was just the slightest wind effect on the snow at treeline.
Visibility was poor today, and we did not observe any avalanches.
