Skier triggered a steep convex roll and was carried down 40m into trees sustaining life-threatening injuries. Four more skiers in the area witnessed the slide and skied over to assist the dig out and provided first aid, while notifying authorities. Avalanche was categorized as 20m wide, 200m long and 80cm deep on basal facets and rocks.
