Snow conditions varied as we went from the road, along the west side of the mountain, then along the trail up the ridge. Started out thin and crusty, then thick and crusty, once on the ridge it got very fluffy with increasing depth, snowshoes going down up to 50cm or so per step depending on the area. A few spots were still crusty depending on the aspect and tree situation. Signs of wind loading and some barren slopes that were more exposed. Cornices had starting forming on the south side of the ridge
