Comments
3 km of pacth skiing then 3 km of hiking brought us to the base of the alpine. On the glacier there was 10- 20 cm of new soft wind slab on the most recent crust which was bonding reasonable well. Probed between 150cm and 260cm of dense snow with multiple crusts on the glacier. Top 400m skied like well settle powder. Mostly cloudy skis and moderate to strong west winds kept the alpine cool and prevented any new avalanches. Heavy and sticky snow below 2350m late in the afternoon.
