Comments
With wind slabs in the forecast, we started on small test slopes to verify conditions before working into bigger terrain. We found the best riding was in sheltered areas, off the beaten track, where there was up to 45 cm of soft snow. The winds started out light but by the afternoon there was snow blowing off ridge crests. While there was a some sun the snow stayed dry.
