Comments

After work lap up to Prayer Flags to do some storm skiing was rewarded with ~40cm new snow, overlying a breakable melt freeze crust and moist snow below. Skiing up the resort, snow continued to come in convective spells, surprising lack of wind and temps near 0 at the parking lot. New snow in prayer flags had a soft slab quality, but still skied nicely in lower angle terrain. Poor vis across the valley meant limited obs into the alpine. One large avalanche was heard in the Valley of Doom. Good skiiing!
