Comments
Today we rode in the Telkwas.
Snow coverage is good here, with anywhere from 125-180cm of snow where we probed today.
We dug several snowpits and found the November surface hoar anywhere from 50-70 cm below the snow surface. In compression tests, we were getting moderate results.
The alpine was wind-scorred here, but sheltered places at treeline were still holding good snow.
We observed an old cornice-triggered avalanche from greater than 72 hours ago.
