Today was a recon day so we didn't get on our skis and topped out at 1800 m on our sleds. This area is a low snow area with only 80 cm at 1800 m. Cornices are large and looming and it's possible that a small chunk triggered this during yesterday's clear skies and strong solar input during the day.
