Whew, even for an area not known for a deep snowpack, it is shallow here this winter ….. at 2100 m, there only 50 cm of unconsolidated facets in sheltered areas ……. lots of stripped-to-ground places, and stripped-to-sun-crust areas on solar aspects.
No natural avalanches seen, -6 at 2100 m at 2pm, Moderate SouthEast wind keeping the surface cold despite the clear blue sky, no snow transport.
