If you can get above 2000m, the snow is quite good and adequately deep to make some turns. Besides some minor wind slabs, I saw no evidence of instability. P.S this was my first time climbing to Cliff lake and my goodness that climb up the trail/cliff is sketchy, particularly with snow and ice on it. Not recommended.
