Comments
With the freezing level at and above Treeline since last Monday, we headed out with low expectations and a cautious mindset. The well maintained Barkerville snowmobile trail got us quickly past BTL and into the Treeline on Bald Mountain where the riding was decent. We found 20 cm dense moist powder over a supportive snowpack that let us easily put an edge in and have fun in small features. Digging down we found the storm slab in test results so we kept our distance from steep overhead slopes. There was a moderate wind from the south west but it was not enough to move the heavy snow.
