Comments
Cornices in the Shames area remain extremely large and looming! No evidence of a warming related avalanche cycle yet. Some cornice fall avalanches (to size 2) and a couple natural wind slabs to size 2 observed at ridge top in Zola, Monkey, etc., unclear exactly when they went.
Very solid melt freeze surface at least to 1400m or so, maybe slightly breakable on north but we didn’t ski that side.
