The search for snow that escaped recent winds was successful. We did, however have a concerning ECTP26 result ~70 cm down at the old crust interface that we replicated and thought worth reporting. We aren’t from here, so not sure when that crust formed, but at this location (east-facing within the basin) the interface was rotten and turned us around. Kept it to the low angle slopes and enjoyed the mellow powder.
