Comments
On southerly aspects, 1200-1600 m elevation, a 1 cm soft sun crust with 5+ mm surface hoar on the surface. Below-treeline, no crust was observed on northerly aspects where we skied today, but the soft crust was noted on any inclined southerly aspect.
In the Alp, previous wind has scoured off the recent snow down to the previous crust in the 1500-1600 m elevation range, where exposed to SW wind.
