Skied out to Elfin Lakes on Monday. Skin track is bare from car park to the first lookout (1100m), then one or two more sharky patches just after. Snow was falling as we were making our way out along paul ridge but didn't look like there was enough wind to affect it much. Good rime build up facing South-West

Skinned up the South-East ridge of Columnar Pk, dug a pit and skied the east face. Evidence of both old and recent wet loose avalanches on sunny aspects
