Comments
Blue sky day at the burn, with strong SW winds. Lots of snow transport, and wind affected snow even on the lee slopes. We headed into the most sheltered parts of the burn to find the goods. Variable amounts of new snow on last week's crust, from 0 in the wind swept areas to 60 cm in lee pockets. New snow is fairly well bonded to the crust, but there are some failure planes in the deeply drifted snow areas.
