Comments
Was a cloudy then sunnier day at Tommy Creek today. There was about 6 inches of new snow, which turned to sticky wet snow as the day progressed. As we progressed Tommy 1, there was a little bit of large cornices on steeper slopes that we stayed away from. As we tried to traverse back to Tommy 3, the cornices (as seen in the pictures) were large enough and in an avalanche runout zone so we chose to not go any farther and turned around.
