Comments
Snow S-SE of K&C hut mostly wind slab/scoured. Fast travel to below Fissile-Whirlwind col. Most of the ascent up Whirlwind was hard unbreakable crust with pockets of breakable crust. Ski crampons very valuable if you want to ascend Whirlwind without bootpacking a large portion of it. Ski down on unbreakable crust was chalky and mostly enjoyable until you'd hit a pocket of breakable crust.
Numerous slab avalanches visible on steep slopes of southern aspects of Fissile.
